This popular non-slip secondary backing fabric is a super easy solution for finishing the back of your hand tufted rugs. The fabric features silicone dots which are specially designed to grip the floor, enabling your rugs to stay firmly in place. The backing fabric is great to use on rugs that will rest on tile, laminate, hardwood and other hard surfaces.
The anti-skid fabric is made from recycled polyester fibres and is a thick and durable felt. Felt is a common fabric used in carpet and rug construction because it is naturally cushioning. Its spongy texture adds an extra layer of comfort underfoot and also helps to improve sound insulation. Felt is known for its durability and ability to withstand heavy foot traffic.
It is easy to work with and can be used with a variety of glues. The fabric comes in an extra long length of 2 metres so you’ll have plenty of fabric to back large rugs. The neutral grey colour is a perfect match for any artwork.
